The royal tombs, divided into five groups, offer a unique and rewarding experience. In contrast to the splendor of the royal tombs, these final resting places of priests, scribes and nobles reveal the luxuries of the lives they led. Of the thousands of tombs discovered from the 6th Dynasty to the Greco-Roman period, only 19 are open to the public. Most of these are three-chambered, with vivid paintings depicting scenes of daily life such as farming, fishing, poultry farming, feasting and feasting. These paintings reflect the customs of ancient Egypt. Nestled in the sand dunes, these tombs provide a beautiful and peaceful environment to explore.
